سُوْرَةُ فُصِّلَتۡ

Surah Fussilat (41) — Ayah 27

فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ عَذَابًا شَدِيدًا وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ أَسْوَأَ ٱلَّذِى كَانُوا۟ يَعْمَلُونَ ﴿27﴾
But surely, We shall cause those who disbelieve to taste a severe torment, and certainly, We shall requite them the worst of what they used to do.
فَلَنُذِيقَنَّ falanudhīqanna But surely We will cause to taste
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
كَفَرُوا۟ kafarū disbelieve
عَذَابًۭا ʿadhāban a punishment
شَدِيدًۭا shadīdan severe
وَلَنَجْزِيَنَّهُمْ walanajziyannahum and surely We will recompense them
أَسْوَأَ aswa-a (the) worst
ٱلَّذِى alladhī (of) what
كَانُوا۟ kānū they used to
يَعْمَلُونَ yaʿmalūna do

27. 1. That is, some of their good deeds will have no value, such as honoring the weak, maintaining family ties, etc., because they were deprived of the blessing of faith. However, they will receive the recompense for their evil deeds, among which is also the crime of preventing from the Noble Qur'an.
