Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
24. 1. Another meaning given is that if they seek to appease (Allah) to Paradise, this will never be granted to them (Aysar al-Tafasir and Fath al-Qadir). Some have explained its meaning as that they will long to be sent back to the world, which will not be accepted. Ibn Jarir Tabari said that the meaning is that their eternal abode is Hell; even if they endure it patiently, no mercy will be shown to them, just as sometimes in the world those who are patient are shown compassion. Or if they try in any other way to escape from there, they will still face only failure.
