Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

66. 1. Whether they are stone idols, prophets (علیہم السلام) and righteous people, or persons buried in graves. Do not call anyone for help, do not make vows or offerings in their names, do not recite their litanies, do not fear them, and do not attach hopes to them, because all these are forms of worship which are the exclusive right of Allah alone.

66. 2. These are the same rational and textual proofs by which the oneness of Allah, that is, Allah being the only deity and Lord, is established, which are mentioned repeatedly in the Quran. The meaning of Islam is to submit and surrender for obedience, to bow the head in submission, that is, I should bow before Allah and not turn away from Him. Further, some proofs of monotheism are being presented.
