Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

35. 1. That is, they do not have any evidence sent down from Allah, yet they dispute about Allah’s oneness and His commands, just as it has been the habit of the people of falsehood in every era.

35. 2. That is, not only does Allah become displeased with this action of theirs, but the believers also strongly dislike it.

35. 2. That is, just as a seal has been set upon the hearts of these disputers, in the same way, a seal is set upon the heart of every person who displays arrogance and rebellion against Allah’s verses, after which what is recognized as good no longer appears good to them, and evil no longer appears evil; rather, sometimes evil is considered good by them and good is considered evil.
