Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

31. 1. This believing man again warned his people that if we persist in denying (rejecting) the Messenger of Allah, there is a danger that we will be seized by the punishment of Allah just like the previous nations.

31. 2. That is, Allah destroyed whomever He destroyed as a consequence of their sins and because of their denial and opposition to the Messengers; otherwise, that Compassionate and Merciful Lord does not intend to wrong His servants at all. In other words, the destruction of nations is not Allah's injustice upon them, but rather a necessary result of the law of requital, from which no nation or individual is exempt. Do not be heedless of the requital of deeds: wheat grows from wheat, barley from barley.
