Surah Ghafir (40) — Ayah 30

وَقَالَ ٱلَّذِىٓ ءَامَنَ يَـٰقَوْمِ إِنِّىٓ أَخَافُ عَلَيْكُم مِّثْلَ يَوْمِ ٱلْأَحْزَابِ ﴿30﴾
And he who believed said: "O my people! Verily, I fear for you a fate like that day (of disaster) of the Confederates (of old)!
وَقَالَ waqāla And said
ٱلَّذِىٓ alladhī (he) who
ءَامَنَ āmana believed
يَـٰقَوْمِ yāqawmi O my people
إِنِّىٓ innī Indeed I
أَخَافُ akhāfu [I] fear
عَلَيْكُم ʿalaykum for you
مِّثْلَ mith'la like
يَوْمِ yawmi (the) day
ٱلْأَحْزَابِ l-aḥzābi (of) the companies
