سُوْرَةُ الْمُؤْمِنِ

Surah Ghafir (40) — Ayah 23

وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا مُوسَىٰ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا وَسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ ﴿23﴾
And indeed We sent Mûsâ (Moses) with Our Ayât (proofs, evidence, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.), and a manifest authority,
وَلَقَدْ walaqad And certainly
أَرْسَلْنَا arsalnā We sent
مُوسَىٰ mūsā Musa
بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا biāyātinā with Our Signs
وَسُلْطَـٰنٍۢ wasul'ṭānin and an authority
مُّبِينٍ mubīnin clear

23. 1. By "signs" are also meant those signs which have been mentioned earlier, or the two great clear miracles of the staff and the shining hand. By "clear authority" is meant a strong proof and clear argument, for which there was no possible answer from their side except stubbornness and shamelessness.
