Surah Ghafir (40) — Ayah 20

وَٱللَّهُ يَقْضِى بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ يَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِهِۦ لَا يَقْضُونَ بِشَىْءٍ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ هُوَ ٱلسَّمِيعُ ٱلْبَصِيرُ ﴿20﴾
And Allâh judges with truth, while those to whom they invoke besides Him, cannot judge anything. Certainly, Allâh! He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.
وَٱللَّهُ wal-lahu And Allah
يَقْضِى yaqḍī judges
بِٱلْحَقِّ ۖ bil-ḥaqi in truth
وَٱلَّذِينَ wa-alladhīna while those (whom)
يَدْعُونَ yadʿūna they invoke
مِن min besides Him
دُونِهِۦ dūnihi besides Him
لَا not
يَقْضُونَ yaqḍūna they judge
بِشَىْءٍ ۗ bishayin with anything
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
هُوَ huwa He
ٱلسَّمِيعُ l-samīʿu (is) the All-Hearer
ٱلْبَصِيرُ l-baṣīru the All-Seer

20. 1. Because they have neither any knowledge of anything nor any power over anything; they are both unaware and powerless, whereas for judgment both knowledge and authority are necessary, and these two qualities are found only with Allah. Therefore, only He has the right to judge, and He will certainly judge with truth, because He will neither fear anyone nor have any greed or desire from anyone.
