سُوْرَةُ النِّسَآءِ
Surah An-Nisaa (4) — Ayah 174
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلنَّاسُ قَدْ جَآءَكُم بُرْهَـٰنٌ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَأَنزَلْنَآ إِلَيْكُمْ نُورًا مُّبِينًا ﴿174﴾

O mankind! Verily, there has come to you a convincing proof (Prophet Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) from your Lord; and We sent down to you a manifest light (this Qur’ân).

174. 1. Burhan is such a decisive proof after which no one has any excuse left, and such an argument by which their doubts are removed. That is why it is later referred to as light.
174. 2. By this is meant the Noble Quran, which is the light of guidance in the darkness of disbelief and polytheism. On the paths of misguidance, it is the straight path and the firm rope of Allah. Thus, those who believe accordingly are deserving of Allah's grace and His mercy.
