Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

33. 1. By this is meant the Prophet of Islam, Hazrat Muhammad, the Messenger of Allah, who brought the true religion. According to some, this is general and refers to every person who calls to monotheism and guides towards the Shariah of Allah.

33. 2. Some take this to refer to Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddiq, who was the first to affirm the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and believe in him. Some have also kept this general, including all believers who have faith in the Prophethood of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and consider him truthful.
