Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
77. 1. According to the opinion of most commentators, Prophet Nuh ﷺ had three sons: Ham, Sam, and Yafith. From them, the later generations of humanity continued. That is why Prophet Nuh ﷺ is called the second Adam, meaning, like Adam ﷺ, after Adam ﷺ, he is the second father of mankind. From the progeny of Sam are the Arabs, Persians, Romans, and Jews and Christians. From the progeny of Ham are Sudan (from east to west), that is, Sindh, Hind, Nubia, Zanj, Habasha, Qibt, and Berbers, etc. And from the progeny of Yafith are Saqala, Turks, Khazar, and Yajuj and Majuj, etc. (Fath al-Qadeer) And Allah knows best.
