سُوْرَةُ الصَّافَّاتِ
Surah As-Saaffaat (37) — Ayah 75
وَلَقَدْ نَادَىٰنَا نُوحٌ فَلَنِعْمَ ٱلْمُجِيبُونَ ﴿75﴾

And indeed Nûh (Noah) invoked Us, and We are the Best of those who answer (the request).

75. 1. That is, despite nine hundred and fifty years of preaching, when the majority of the people denied him, he realized that there was no hope of them believing, so he called upon his Lord (فَدَعَا رَبَّهٗٓ اَنِّىْ مَغْلُوْبٌ فَانْتَصِرْ) 54. Al-Qamar:10) "O Allah, I am overpowered, so help me." Thus, We accepted the supplication of Nuh (Noah) (peace be upon him) and destroyed his people by sending a flood.
