Surah As-Saaffaat (37) — Ayah 72
وَلَقَدْ أَرْسَلْنَا فِيهِم مُّنذِرِينَ ﴿72﴾

72. 1. That is, among the people before them. They conveyed the message of truth and, in case of rejection, warned them of Allah's punishment, but it had no effect on them and they were destroyed, as indicated in the next verse towards their cautionary end.
