Surah As-Saaffaat (37) — Ayah 39

وَمَا تُجْزَوْنَ إِلَّا مَا كُنتُمْ تَعْمَلُونَ ﴿39﴾
And you will be requited nothing except for what you used to do (evil deeds, sins, and Allâh’s disobedience which you used to do in this world)
وَمَا wamā And not
تُجْزَوْنَ tuj'zawna you will be recompensed
إِلَّا illā except
مَا what

تَعْمَلُونَ taʿmalūna do

39. 1. This will be said to the people of Hell when they are standing and questioning each other, and at the same time it will be clarified that this is not injustice but absolute justice, because all of this is the recompense for your own deeds.
