And they have invented a kinship between Him and the jinn, but the jinn know well that they have indeed to appear (before Him) (i.e. they will be called to account).
وَجَعَلُوا۟ wajaʿalū And they have made

وَبَيْنَ wabayna and between
ٱلْجِنَّةِ l-jinati the jinn
نَسَبًۭا ۚ nasaban a relationship
وَلَقَدْ walaqad but certainly
عَلِمَتِ ʿalimati know
ٱلْجِنَّةُ l-jinatu the jinn
إِنَّهُمْ innahum that they
لَمُحْضَرُونَ lamuḥ'ḍarūna (will) surely be brought

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

158. 1 This is a reference to the belief of the polytheists that Allah established a marital relationship with the jinn, from which daughters were born. These daughters of Allah are the angels. Thus, a kinship (in-law relationship) was established between Allah and the jinn.

158. 2 However, how can this be authentic? If this were so, then why would Allah subject the jinn to punishment? Would He not consider His kinship? And if this is not the case, rather the jinn themselves know that they will certainly have to enter Hell to face Allah’s wrath and punishment, then how can there be any kinship between Allah and the jinn?
