وَأَنۢبَتْنَا عَلَيْهِ شَجَرَةً مِّن يَقْطِينٍ ﴿146﴾
And We caused a plant of gourd to grow over him.
وَأَنۢبَتْنَا wa-anbatnā And We caused to grow

شَجَرَةًۭ shajaratan a plant
مِّن min of
يَقْطِينٍۢ yaqṭīnin gourd

146. 1. یَقْطِیْنِ refers to every vine that does not stand on its own stem, such as the vine of bottle gourd, pumpkin, etc. In that barren plain where there was neither any tree nor building, We grew a shady vine and thus protected him.
