سُوْرَةُ يٰسٓ

Surah Yaseen (36) — Ayah 45

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱتَّقُوا۟ مَا بَيْنَ أَيْدِيكُمْ وَمَا خَلْفَكُمْ لَعَلَّكُمْ تُرْحَمُونَ ﴿45﴾
And when it is said to them: "Fear of that which is before you (worldly torments), and that which is behind you (torments in the Hereafter), in order that you may receive Mercy (i.e. if you believe in Allâh’s religion - Islâmic Monotheism, and avoid polytheism, and obey Allâh with righteous deeds)."
وَإِذَا wa-idhā And when
قِيلَ qīla it is said
لَهُمُ lahumu to them
ٱتَّقُوا۟ ittaqū Fear
مَا what
بَيْنَ bayna (is) before you
أَيْدِيكُمْ aydīkum (is) before you
وَمَا wamā and what
خَلْفَكُمْ khalfakum (is) behind you
لَعَلَّكُمْ laʿallakum so that you may
تُرْحَمُونَ tur'ḥamūna receive mercy
