25. 1. In response to his call to monotheism and affirmation of monotheism, his people tried to kill him, so he addressed the prophets and said this. The purpose was to make the prophets witnesses to his faith. Or he addressed his people, intending to express his firmness and steadfastness in the true religion, that you may do whatever you wish, but listen well that my faith is in the same Lord who is also your Lord. It is said that they killed him, and no one stopped them from doing so. May Allah the Exalted have mercy on him.
