سُوْرَةُ فَاطِرٍ

Surah Faatir (35) — Ayah 31

وَٱلَّذِىٓ أَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَيْكَ مِنَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ هُوَ ٱلْحَقُّ مُصَدِّقًا لِّمَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ بِعِبَادِهِۦ لَخَبِيرٌۢ بَصِيرٌ ﴿31﴾
And what We have revealed to you (O Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم), of the Book (the Qur’ân), it is the (very) truth [that you (Muhammad صلى الله عليه وسلم) and your followers must act on its instructions], confirming that which was (revealed) before it. Verily! Allâh is indeed All-Aware, and All-Seer of His slaves.
وَٱلَّذِىٓ wa-alladhī And (that) which
أَوْحَيْنَآ awḥaynā We have revealed
إِلَيْكَ ilayka to you
مِنَ mina of
ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ l-kitābi the Book
هُوَ huwa it
ٱلْحَقُّ l-ḥaqu (is) the truth
مُصَدِّقًۭا muṣaddiqan confirming
لِّمَا limā what (was)
بَيْنَ bayna before it
يَدَيْهِ ۗ yadayhi before it
إِنَّ inna Indeed
ٱللَّهَ l-laha Allah
بِعِبَادِهِۦ biʿibādihi of His slaves
لَخَبِيرٌۢ lakhabīrun surely, (is) All-Aware
بَصِيرٌۭ baṣīrun All-Seer

31. 1. That upon which it is necessary for you and your Ummah to act.
31. 2. Of the Torah and the Gospel, etc. This is evidence that the Noble Quran is revealed by that Allah who revealed the previous books; that is why both affirm and confirm each other.
31. 3. This is the result of His knowledge and awareness that He revealed a new book, because He knows that the previous books have been subject to alteration and are no longer capable of providing guidance.
