Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

15. 1 The word "ناس" is general, which includes the common people and the elite, even the prophets and the righteous; all are in need of Allah, but Allah is not in need of anyone.

15. 2 He is so self-sufficient that if all people oppose Him, it will not decrease His sovereignty in any way, and if all become obedient to Him, it will not increase His power; rather, in disobedience, it is the people themselves who suffer loss, and in worship and obedience, it is their own benefit.

15. 3 That is, He is praiseworthy because of His blessings. So every blessing that He has bestowed upon His servants, for that He is deserving of praise and thanks.
