Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

7. 1 This is the statement of the deniers of the Hereafter in contrast to the believers, which they said to each other among themselves.
7. 2 By this is meant Muhammad ﷺ, who came to them as Allah’s Prophet.
7. 3 That is, strange and astonishing news, an incomprehensible report.
7. 4 That is, after you die and are crumbled into pieces and mixed with the dust, when your apparent existence disappears, you will be resurrected from the graves and you will be given the same form and appearance as you had before—this conversation they held among themselves in mockery and ridicule.
