Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

22. 1. That is, of being a deity. Here, in "زعمتم", two objects are omitted: "زعمتموہم الھۃ", meaning those whom you consider as deities.
22. 2. That is, they have no power over good nor over evil, they have no ability to benefit anyone, nor to protect from harm. The mention of the heavens and the earth is not for generalization, because all external existents are contained within these.
22. 3. Neither in creation, nor in ownership, nor in administration.
22. 4. Who assists Allah in any matter whatsoever; rather, Allah alone, without any partner, is the owner of all powers and does all things without anyone’s cooperation.
