Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

69. 1. Its explanation has come in the hadith in this way: Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) was extremely modest, so he never exposed his body in front of people. The Banu Isra'il began to say that perhaps there are spots of vitiligo or some such affliction on Musa's (peace be upon him) body, which is why he always remains covered in clothing. Once, Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) went to bathe in solitude, took off his clothes, and placed them on a stone. The stone (by Allah's command) ran away with the clothes. Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) ran after it. Until he reached a gathering of Banu Isra'il, they saw Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him) naked, and all their doubts were removed. Musa (peace be upon him) was extremely handsome and beautiful, free from every kind of spot and defect. In this way, Allah Almighty miraculously cleared him of the accusation and doubt that was made against him by Banu Isra'il through the stone (Sahih Bukhari). Regarding Hazrat Musa (peace be upon him), the believers are being made to understand that you should not hurt our last Prophet, Hazrat Muhammad ﷺ, as Banu Isra'il did, and do not say such things about him that would cause him distress and anxiety. For example, on one occasion during the distribution of war booty, a person said that justice and fairness were not observed in it. When these words reached him, he became angry, so much so that your blessed face turned red. He said, "May Allah's mercy be upon Musa (peace be upon him), he was hurt much more than this, but he remained patient" (Sahih Bukhari).
