Surah Al-Ahzaab (33) — Ayah 58

وَٱلَّذِينَ يُؤْذُونَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ بِغَيْرِ مَا ٱكْتَسَبُوا۟ فَقَدِ ٱحْتَمَلُوا۟ بُهْتَـٰنًا وَإِثْمًا مُّبِينًا ﴿58﴾
And those who annoy believing men and women undeservedly, they bear (on themselves) the crime of slander and plain sin.
وَٱلَّذِينَ wa-alladhīna And those who
يُؤْذُونَ yu'dhūna harm
ٱلْمُؤْمِنِينَ l-mu'minīna the believing men
وَٱلْمُؤْمِنَـٰتِ wal-mu'mināti and the believing women
بِغَيْرِ bighayri for other than
مَا what
ٱكْتَسَبُوا۟ ik'tasabū they have earned
فَقَدِ faqadi then certainly
ٱحْتَمَلُوا۟ iḥ'tamalū they bear
بُهْتَـٰنًۭا buh'tānan false accusation
وَإِثْمًۭا wa-ith'man and sin
مُّبِينًۭا mubīnan manifest

That is, to slander them in order to defame them, to unjustly criticize and insult them, just as the Rawafid curse the noble Companions ؓ and attribute to them things which they did not commit. Imam Ibn Kathir states that the Rafidi are those with inverted hearts; they criticize praiseworthy individuals and praise those who are blameworthy.
