Surah As-Sajda (32) — Ayah 9

ثُمَّ سَوَّىٰهُ وَنَفَخَ فِيهِ مِن رُّوحِهِۦ ۖ وَجَعَلَ لَكُمُ ٱلسَّمْعَ وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ قَلِيلًا مَّا تَشْكُرُونَ ﴿9﴾
Then He fashioned him in due proportion, and breathed into him the soul (created by Allâh for that person); and He gave you hearing (ears), sight (eyes) and hearts. Little is the thanks you give!
ثُمَّ thumma Then
سَوَّىٰهُ sawwāhu He fashioned him
وَنَفَخَ wanafakha and breathed
فِيهِ fīhi into him
مِن min from
رُّوحِهِۦ ۖ rūḥihi His spirit
وَجَعَلَ wajaʿala and made
لَكُمُ lakumu for you
ٱلسَّمْعَ l-samʿa the hearing
وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرَ wal-abṣāra and the sight
وَٱلْأَفْـِٔدَةَ ۚ wal-afidata and feelings
قَلِيلًۭا qalīlan little
مَّا [what]
تَشْكُرُونَ tashkurūna thanks you give

9-1. That is, We nurture the child in the mother's womb, form its limbs, beautify it, and then breathe the soul into it.

9-2. That is, He created all things so that He may complete His creation, so that you may be able to hear what is to be heard, see what is to be seen, and understand every matter that can be comprehended by intellect and understanding.

9-3. That is, despite so many favors, man is so ungrateful that he gives thanks to Allah very little, or there are very few people who are thankful.
