Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
1. It is mentioned in the hadith that the Prophet ﷺ used to recite الَمَّالسَّجْدَہ (and in the second rak'ah) (ھَلْاَتٰیعَلَیالْاِنْسَانِ)(سُوْرَۃ دہر) in the Fajr prayer on Fridays (Sahih Bukhari). 2. Similarly, it is also authentically established that the Prophet ﷺ used to recite Surah Alif Lam Meem As-Sajdah and Surah Al-Mulk before sleeping at night (Tirmidhi 892, Musnad Ahmad 34 2-1). 3. The meaning is that this is not a book of lies, magic, soothsaying, or fabricated stories, but rather a heavenly book of guidance from the Lord of all worlds.
