سُوْرَةُ لُقْمَانَ
Surah Luqman (31) — Ayah 19
وَٱقْصِدْ فِى مَشْيِكَ وَٱغْضُضْ مِن صَوْتِكَ ۚ إِنَّ أَنكَرَ ٱلْأَصْوَٰتِ لَصَوْتُ ٱلْحَمِيرِ ﴿19﴾

"And be moderate (or show no insolence) in your walking, and lower your voice. Verily, the harshest of all voices is the braying of the asses."

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. 19-1. That is, do not walk so slowly as if you are sick, nor so fast that it is against dignity and honor. This has been described in another place as follows (يَمْشُوْنَ عَلَي الْاَرْضِ هَوْنًا) 25. Al-Furqan:63) The servants of Allah walk upon the earth with dignity and calmness.
19-2. That is, do not speak by shouting or yelling, because if speaking in a very loud voice was desirable, then the donkey’s voice would have been considered the best, but it is not so; rather, the donkey’s voice is the worst and most unpleasant. That is why it is mentioned in the hadith: “When you hear the voice of a donkey, seek refuge with Allah from Satan” (Bukhari, Book of the Beginning of Creation and Muslim, etc.).
19-2.
