Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

11-1. ھٰذَا (this) is a reference to those things created by Allah which were mentioned in the previous verses.

11-2. That is, those whom you worship and call upon for help, what thing have they created in the heavens and the earth? Can you name even one thing? The meaning is that when the Creator of everything is only and only Allah, then He alone is worthy of worship; in the entire universe, there is no being other than Him who deserves to be worshipped or called upon for help.
