Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

35-1 This is an interrogative of denial. That is, those whom they consider as partners of Allah and worship them, this is without any evidence; Allah has not revealed any evidence for it. How could Allah have sent down any evidence for the affirmation and permissibility of shirk, when He sent all the prophets precisely so that they would refute shirk and affirm tawheed? Thus, every prophet, upon coming, first and foremost preached tawheed to his people. And today, the people of tawheed, the Muslims, also have to preach tawheed and sunnah among the so-called Muslims, because the majority of the common Muslims are involved in shirk and bid‘ah.
