سُوْرَةُ الرُّوْمِ
Surah Ar-Room (30) — Ayah 28
ضَرَبَ لَكُم مَّثَلًا مِّنْ أَنفُسِكُمْ ۖ هَل لَّكُم مِّن مَّا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَـٰنُكُم مِّن شُرَكَآءَ فِى مَا رَزَقْنَـٰكُمْ فَأَنتُمْ فِيهِ سَوَآءٌ تَخَافُونَهُمْ كَخِيفَتِكُمْ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نُفَصِّلُ ٱلْـَٔايَـٰتِ لِقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ ﴿28﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
He sets forth for you a parable from your ownselves: Do you have partners among those whom your right hands possess (i.e. your slaves) to share as equals in the wealth We have bestowed on you whom you fear as you fear each other? Thus do We explain the signs in detail to a people who have sense.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf
Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. 28-1. That is, when you do not like that your slaves and servants, who are human beings just like you, should become partners in your wealth and property and become equal to you, then how can it be possible that the servants of Allah—whether they are angels, prophets, saints and the righteous, or deities made from trees and stones—should become partners with Allah, when they too are Allah’s servants and His creation? Just as the first thing is not possible, the second is also not possible. Therefore, worshipping others along with Allah and considering them as fulfillers of needs and removers of difficulties is completely wrong.
28-2. That is, do you fear your slaves in the same way as you (free people) fear one another? That is, just as in a joint business or property, you feel afraid while spending that the other partners will hold you accountable, do you fear your slaves in the same way? That is, you do not. Because you cannot make them your equals by making them partners in wealth and property, so why would you fear them?
28-3. Because they use their intellect and make an effort to ponder, benefiting from the revealed and created signs, and those who do not do so, even the issue of Tawheed, which is absolutely clear and extremely obvious, does not make sense to them.
28-2. That is, do you fear your slaves in the same way as you (free people) fear one another? That is, just as in a joint business or property, you feel afraid while spending that the other partners will hold you accountable, do you fear your slaves in the same way? That is, you do not.
