Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

13-1. By "partners" are meant the false deities whom the polytheists used to worship, believing that they would be their intercessors with Allah and would save them from Allah's punishment. But here Allah has clarified that for those who commit shirk with Allah, there will be no intercessor with Allah.

13-2. That is, there they will deny their divinity because they will see that they are not capable of bringing any benefit to anyone. The second meaning is that these deities will deny that these people used to consider them partners of Allah and worship them, because they are completely unaware of their worship.
