Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

32. 1. In this verse, after mentioning obedience to Allah, the obedience to the Messenger ﷺ is emphasized again, making it clear that now, if there is salvation, it is only in the obedience to Muhammad ﷺ, and turning away from this is disbelief, and such disbelievers are not liked by Allah, no matter how much they claim to love and be close to Allah. In this verse, there is a severe warning for those who avoid following the Messenger ﷺ, because both, in their own ways, adopt such an attitude which is described here as disbelief.
