مَتَـٰعٌ قَلِيلٌ ثُمَّ مَأْوَىٰهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ ۚ وَبِئْسَ ٱلْمِهَادُ ﴿197﴾
A brief enjoyment; then, their ultimate abode is Hell; and worst indeed is that place for rest.
مَتَـٰعٌۭ matāʿun An enjoyment
قَلِيلٌۭ qalīlun little
ثُمَّ thumma then
مَأْوَىٰهُمْ mawāhum their abode
جَهَنَّمُ ۚ jahannamu (is) hell
وَبِئْسَ wabi'sa [and] a wretched
ٱلْمِهَادُ l-mihādu [the] resting place

197. 1. That is, no matter how abundant the resources, comforts, and conveniences of the world may appear, in reality they are but a small provision, because ultimately they are destined to perish, and even before their perishing, those people themselves will perish who, in their pursuit of these, forget Allah and trample every kind of moral code and the limits set by Allah.
