Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

18. 1. The meaning of shahadah is to state and to inform, that is, Allah Almighty has guided us towards His Oneness through whatever He has created and explained. (Fath al-Qadeer) The angels and the people of knowledge also bear witness to His Oneness. In this, there is great virtue and honor for the people of knowledge, that Allah Almighty has mentioned them along with His angels. However, by this are meant only those people of knowledge who are endowed with the knowledge of the Book and the Sunnah. (Fath al-Qadeer)
