سُوْرَةُ اٰلِ عِمْرٰنَ
Surah Aal-i-Imraan (3) — Ayah 102
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِهِۦ وَلَا تَمُوتُنَّ إِلَّا وَأَنتُم مُّسْلِمُونَ ﴿102﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
O you who believe! Fear Allâh (by doing all that He has ordered and by abstaining from all that He has forbidden) as He should be feared. [Obey Him, be thankful to Him, and remember Him always], and die not except in a state of Islâm [as Muslims (with complete submission to Allâh)].

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf

12. 1. This means that the commands and obligations of Islam should be fulfilled completely and the prohibitions should not be approached. Some say that the Companions were distressed by this verse, so Allah revealed another verse: Fear Allah as much as you are able, just as He deserves to be feared according to your ability (Fath al-Qadeer).
