كُلُّ نَفْسٍ ذَآئِقَةُ ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ ثُمَّ إِلَيْنَا تُرْجَعُونَ ﴿57﴾
Everyone shall taste death. Then unto Us you shall be returned.
كُلُّ kullu Every
نَفْسٍۢ nafsin soul
ذَآئِقَةُ dhāiqatu (will) taste
ٱلْمَوْتِ ۖ l-mawti the death
ثُمَّ thumma Then
إِلَيْنَا ilaynā to Us

57-1. That is, the bitter draught of death must inevitably be tasted by everyone, whether you migrate or not. Therefore, leaving your homeland, relatives, and friends should not be difficult for you. Death will come to you wherever you are. However, if you die while worshipping Allah, you will be blessed with the bounties of the Hereafter. Because after death, you have to return to Allah alone.
