Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

62-1 That is, those idols or persons whom you used to associate with Me in divinity in the world, whom you used to call for help and offer vows and sacrifices in their names—where are they today? Can they help you and save you from My punishment? Allah Almighty will say this to them as a form of reproach and rebuke; otherwise, who would dare to utter a word before Allah there? The same subject has been stated by Allah Almighty in Surah Al-An'am, 6. Al-An'am:94) and in many other places.
