"Put your hand in your bosom, it will come forth white without a disease; and draw your hand close to your side to be free from the fear (which you suffered from the snake, and also your hand will return to its original state). These are two Burhâns (signs, miracles, evidence, proofs) from your Lord to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs. Verily, they are the people who are Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

32-1 This "Yad Bayda" was the second miracle that was granted to him.

32-2 In the case of the staff turning into a serpent, the fear that would overcome Musa (peace be upon him), its solution was explained: place your arm close to yourself, that is, press it under your armpit, by which the fear would go away. Some commentators say that this is general: whenever anyone feels fear from someone, by doing this, the fear will be removed. Imam Ibn Kathir states that whoever, following Musa (peace be upon him), places his hand on his heart at a moment of anxiety, then the fear will leave his heart or at least become lighter, InshaAllah.

32-3 That is, present these two miracles before Pharaoh and his assembly as proof of your truthfulness. These people have turned away from the obedience of Allah and are opponents of Allah's religion.
