قَالَ نَكِّرُوا۟ لَهَا عَرْشَهَا نَنظُرْ أَتَهْتَدِىٓ أَمْ تَكُونُ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ لَا يَهْتَدُونَ ﴿41﴾
He said: "Disguise her throne for her that we may see whether she will be guided (to recognise her throne), or she will be one of those not guided."
قَالَ qāla He said
نَكِّرُوا۟ nakkirū Disguise
لَهَا lahā for her
عَرْشَهَا ʿarshahā her throne
نَنظُرْ nanẓur we will see
أَتَهْتَدِىٓ atahtadī whether she will be guided
أَمْ am or
تَكُونُ takūnu will be
مِنَ mina of
ٱلَّذِينَ alladhīna those who
لَا are not guided
يَهْتَدُونَ yahtadūna are not guided

41-1. That is, change its color, appearance, or form and likeness.

41-2. That is, does she become aware that this throne is hers or does she not realize it? The second meaning is whether she finds guidance or not? That is, even after seeing such a great miracle, does the path of guidance become clear to her or not?
