وَإِنِّى مُرْسِلَةٌ إِلَيْهِم بِهَدِيَّةٍ فَنَاظِرَةٌۢ بِمَ يَرْجِعُ ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ ﴿35﴾
"But verily! I am going to send him a present, and see with what (answer) the messengers return."
وَإِنِّى wa-innī But indeed, I am
مُرْسِلَةٌ mur'silatun going to send
إِلَيْهِم ilayhim to them
بِهَدِيَّةٍۢ bihadiyyatin a gift
فَنَاظِرَةٌۢ fanāẓiratun and see
بِمَ bima with what
يَرْجِعُ yarjiʿu return
ٱلْمُرْسَلُونَ l-mur'salūna the messengers

35-1. From this, it can be estimated whether Sulaiman (AS) is a worldly king or a sent prophet, whose purpose is the dominance of Allah's religion. If he does not accept the gift, then surely his purpose is the propagation and elevation of the religion, and then we too will have no choice but to obey.
