۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ إِلَىٰ مُوسَىٰٓ أَنْ أَسْرِ بِعِبَادِىٓ إِنَّكُم مُّتَّبَعُونَ ﴿52﴾
And We revealed to Mûsâ (Moses), saying: "Depart by night with My slaves, verily you will be pursued."
۞ وَأَوْحَيْنَآ wa-awḥaynā And We inspired
إِلَىٰ ilā to
مُوسَىٰٓ mūsā Musa
أَنْ an [that]
أَسْرِ asri Travel by night
بِعِبَادِىٓ biʿibādī with My slaves
إِنَّكُم innakum indeed, you
مُّتَّبَعُونَ muttabaʿūna (will be) followed

52-1. When the stay of Musa (Moses) ؑ in Egypt became prolonged and in every way he had established the proof against Pharaoh and his courtiers, but even then they were not ready to believe, then there was no other option left except to subject them to punishment and make them a lesson. Thus, Allah Almighty commanded Musa ؑ to take the Children of Israel and leave from here by night, and said that Pharaoh will come after you, do not be afraid.
