Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

226-1. Since the majority of poets are such that they express opinions based on personal likes and dislikes rather than principle, and in addition, they employ exaggeration and hyperbole, and in poetic imaginations they wander here and there, it is said that those who follow them are also misguided. For this type of poetry, it is also mentioned in the hadith that "For a belly to be filled with pus and blood, which ruins it, is better than for it to be filled with poetry." (Tirmidhi and Muslim, etc.)
