كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍ ٱلْمُرْسَلِينَ ﴿160﴾
The people of Lût (Lot) (-who dwelt in the town of Sodom in Palestine) belied the Messengers.

160-1. Hazrat Lut عليه السلام was the son of Haran bin Azar, the brother of Hazrat Ibrahim عليه السلام. And he was sent as a prophet during the lifetime of Hazrat Ibrahim عليه السلام. His people lived in 'Sodom' and 'Amoriyah'. These settlements were in the region of Syria.
