ثُمَّ أَغْرَقْنَا بَعْدُ ٱلْبَاقِينَ ﴿120﴾
Then We drowned the rest (disbelievers) thereafter.

بَعْدُ baʿdu thereafter
ٱلْبَاقِينَ l-bāqīna the remaining ones

120-1. These details have already been mentioned earlier and some will come later as well, that despite the nine hundred and fifty years of preaching by Hazrat Nuh ؑ, the people of his nation persisted in immorality and aversion. Eventually, Hazrat Nuh ؑ invoked a curse, Allah Almighty commanded him to build an ark and to place believing humans, animals, and necessary provisions in it, and thus the believers were saved while all the rest, even his wife and son who did not believe, were drowned.
