Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.
77-1. The meaning of supplication and turning to Allah is to call upon Allah and to worship Him, and the meaning is that your purpose of creation is the worship of Allah; if this is not the case, then Allah has no concern for you. That is, in the sight of Allah, the value and worth of a human being is due to his faith in Allah and his worship of Him.
77-2. In this, the address is to the disbelievers that you have denied Allah, so now you must inevitably taste its punishment. Thus, in this world, they received this punishment in the form of defeat at Badr, and in the Hereafter, they will also have to face the eternal torment of Hell.
