سُوْرَةُ الْفُرْقَانِ
Surah Al-Furqaan (25) — Ayah 45
أَلَمْ تَرَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ كَيْفَ مَدَّ ٱلظِّلَّ وَلَوْ شَآءَ لَجَعَلَهُۥ سَاكِنًا ثُمَّ جَعَلْنَا ٱلشَّمْسَ عَلَيْهِ دَلِيلًا ﴿45﴾

Have you not seen how your Lord spread the shadow. If He willed, He could have made it still - But We have made the sun its guide (i.e. after the sunrise, the shadow shrinks and vanishes at midnoon and then again appears in the afternoon with the decline of the sun, and had there been no sunlight, there would have been no shadow).

45-1. From here, the arguments for Tawheed begin again. See how Allah Almighty has spread the shade in the universe, which remains from the true dawn until the sun rises. That is, at that time there is no sunlight, and with the sunlight, this shade begins to shrink and contract.
45-2. That is, there would always be shade, and the sunlight of the sun would never eliminate the shade.
