And those who disbelieve say: "Why is not the Qur’ân revealed to him all at once?" Thus (it is sent down in parts), that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages. (It was revealed to the Prophet صلى الله عليه وسلم in 23 years.).

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

32-1. Just as the Torah, the Gospel, the Psalms, and other books were revealed all at once.

32-2. Allah replied that We revealed this Quran gradually over 23 years according to circumstances and needs, so that, O Prophet! your heart and the hearts of the believers may be strengthened and it may be well impressed upon them. Just as it is said at another place (وَقُرْاٰنًا فَرَقْنٰهُ لِتَقْرَاَهٗ عَلَي النَّاسِ عَلٰي مُكْثٍ وَّنَزَّلْنٰهُ تَنْزِيْلًا) 17. Al-Isra:16) 'And the Quran, We have divided it so that you might recite it to the people gradually, and We have sent it down in stages.' The example of this Quran is like rain; whenever rain descends, a wave of life runs through the dead earth, and this benefit generally occurs when rain descends from time to time, not when all the rain descends at once.
