Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan is a well-known Quran commentary by Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf, a renowned Salafi (Ahl al-Hadith) scholar from Pakistan. This tafsir explains the meanings of the Quran in accordance with the methodology of the Salaf (early righteous generations), relying on authentic sources and straightforward language. Due to its reliability and adherence to sound Islamic scholarship, the Saudi government publishes and distributes this tafsir among the Hujjaj (pilgrims) visiting the Haramain. The tafsir is originally written in Urdu, translated to English by tohed.com.

64-1. In terms of creation, in terms of ownership, and in terms of subordination as well. He may dispose as He wills and command whatever He wishes. Therefore, one should fear Allah regarding the matter of His Messenger ﷺ, which necessitates that none of the Messenger’s commands should be opposed, and whatever he has forbidden should not be committed. For the very purpose of sending the Messenger ﷺ is that he should be obeyed.

64-2. This is a warning to the opponents of the Messenger ﷺ that whatever actions you are committing, do not think that they can remain hidden from Allah. Everything is within His knowledge, and He will give reward and punishment accordingly on the Day of Resurrection.
