رِجَالٌ لَّا تُلْهِيهِمْ تِجَـٰرَةٌ وَلَا بَيْعٌ عَن ذِكْرِ ٱللَّهِ وَإِقَامِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ وَإِيتَآءِ ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۙ يَخَافُونَ يَوْمًا تَتَقَلَّبُ فِيهِ ٱلْقُلُوبُ وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ ﴿37﴾
Men whom neither trade nor sale (business) diverts from the Remembrance of Allâh (with heart and tongue), nor from performing As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), nor from giving the Zakât. They fear a Day when hearts and eyes will be overturned (out of the horror of the torment of the Day of Resurrection).
رِجَالٌۭ rijālun Men
لَّا not
تُلْهِيهِمْ tul'hīhim distracts them
تِجَـٰرَةٌۭ tijāratun trade
وَلَا walā and not
بَيْعٌ bayʿun sale
عَن ʿan from
ذِكْرِ dhik'ri (the) remembrance of Allah
ٱللَّهِ l-lahi (the) remembrance of Allah
وَإِقَامِ wa-iqāmi and (from) establishing
ٱلصَّلَوٰةِ l-ṣalati the prayer
وَإِيتَآءِ waītāi and giving
ٱلزَّكَوٰةِ ۙ l-zakati zakah
يَخَافُونَ yakhāfūna They fear
يَوْمًۭا yawman a Day
تَتَقَلَّبُ tataqallabu will turn about
فِيهِ fīhi therein
ٱلْقُلُوبُ l-qulūbu the hearts
وَٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ wal-abṣāru and the eyes

37-1 That is, due to the intensity of fear and terror, just as in another place it is stated: "Warn them of the Day of Resurrection, the Day when hearts will reach the throats, filled with grief." In the beginning, this state of the hearts will be for everyone, both the believer and the disbeliever.
