سُوْرَةُ النُّوْرِ
Surah An-Noor (24) — Ayah 19
إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ يُحِبُّونَ أَن تَشِيعَ ٱلْفَـٰحِشَةُ فِى ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ لَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ يَعْلَمُ وَأَنتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿19﴾
Translation by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan & Dr. Taqi-ud-Din al-Hilali
Verily, those who like that (the crime of) illegal sexual intercourse should be propagated among those who believe, they will have a painful torment in this world and in the Hereafter. And Allâh knows and you know not.

Tafsir Ahsan al-Bayan — Hafiz Salahuddin Yusuf

19. The meaning of فَاحِشَۃ is indecency, and the Quran has also termed adultery as فاحشہ (Bani Isra'il), and here, Allah Almighty has described the spreading of a false report of adultery as indecency as well, and has declared it a cause of painful punishment in this world and the Hereafter.
